Terms of Service

Agreement overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and EventOS (“EventOS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing access to and use of the EventOS websites, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, clicking “I agree,” creating an event, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them (including Privacy, Cookies, Cancellation & Refund, Code of Conduct, Responsible Disclosure, and Grievance Redressal). If you use EventOS on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The Platform

EventOS provides software for creating and managing events, including branded public sites, registration forms, ticketing and checkout, attendee management, check-in and checkpoints, email tools, and related features. Features may vary by plan. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Platform with reasonable notice when practicable.

EventOS is a technology platform. Unless we expressly host or co-organize an event, events listed or managed on the Platform are created and controlled by independent organizers.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly of unauthorized access or use.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to the Platform, other users, or attendees.

Organizer responsibilities

If you create or manage events on EventOS, you are responsible for:

• Your event content, branding, pricing, capacity, and communications
• Compliance with applicable laws (consumer, tax, privacy, advertising, and event regulations)
• Obtaining required consents for registration data and marketing
• Fulfilling commitments to attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers
• Setting and honoring event-specific cancellation and refund rules
• Responding to attendee questions and privacy requests for event-specific data

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. EventOS does not store full payment card numbers and is not a bank or payment institution.

Attendees and ticket purchases

When you register for or buy tickets to an event, you contract primarily with the event organizer for admission and event delivery. EventOS facilitates registration, payments, and related tooling. Read the organizer’s event page, terms, and cancellation policy before purchasing.

Platform-level cancellation and refund rules are described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Event-specific refund rules set by organizers may also apply.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the Platform, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with other users
• Do not upload malware, scrape without permission, or reverse engineer except as allowed by law
• Do not use EventOS for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful events or content
• Do not harass others or violate the Code of Conduct at events using EventOS tooling

Fees and taxes

Paid plans, usage fees, and any platform or payment-related charges are described on Pricing or in an order form. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. Organizers are responsible for applicable taxes on ticket sales unless otherwise agreed with the payment provider.

Intellectual property

EventOS and its software, branding, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your event content. You grant EventOS a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Platform.

Privacy and data roles

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. For organizer accounts and Platform administration, EventOS typically acts as a data controller / data fiduciary. For attendee registration data collected for a third-party organizer’s event, the organizer is typically the controller / fiduciary and EventOS processes data on their instructions as a processor.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. EventOS is not liable for organizer–attendee disputes, event cancellations by organizers, or third-party payment processor failures beyond our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from these Terms or the Platform is limited to the fees you paid to EventOS for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using EventOS at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or legal risk. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, liability limits, and indemnity where applicable) continue after termination.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
