Grievance Redressal Policy
How to raise privacy concerns and how EventOS investigates and resolves them.
Purpose
EventOS is committed to protecting privacy rights and resolving privacy-related concerns fairly and transparently. This Grievance Redressal Policy explains how individuals can raise concerns about personal data processing and how we handle those grievances.
This Policy is intended to support compliance with applicable laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU GDPR, and UK GDPR where they apply.
When you can raise a grievance
- You believe personal data was collected or processed unlawfully
- Your privacy rights were not respected
- Consent was not honored
- A request for access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent was not handled appropriately
- You believe personal data was disclosed improperly
- You have concerns about cookies, marketing communications, or automated processing
- You believe EventOS failed to comply with applicable privacy laws
Who is responsible
EventOS as controller / fiduciary
We handle grievances about EventOS accounts, marketing site usage, Platform administration, product communications, cookie preferences, and general Platform services.
EventOS as processor
For registrations and attendee information collected for an organizer’s event, the organizer typically acts as controller / fiduciary. We will assist the organizer and may forward your request when appropriate.
How to submit
- Email: privacy@eventos.com
- Grievance / privacy officer: dpo@eventos.com
Include your full name, email associated with your account or registration, event name (if applicable), description of the concern, supporting materials if available, and the nature of the request (correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, complaint, etc.). We may ask for identity verification.
Resolution process
- Acknowledgement: we aim to acknowledge receipt within 48 hours.
- Verification: we may verify identity before disclosing or changing personal data.
- Investigation: our privacy team reviews the complaint, applicable law, system records, and organizer input where relevant.
- Resolution: we aim to provide a written response within 30 calendar days. If more time is reasonably required, we will explain why and share an updated timeline where permitted by law.
Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response, or if timelines required by law are missed, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (for example the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, an EU Data Protection Authority under the GDPR, or the UK ICO). Submitting a grievance to EventOS does not limit your statutory rights.
No retaliation
EventOS will not deny services, discriminate against, or retaliate against any individual for exercising privacy rights or submitting a grievance in good faith.
Updates
We may update this Policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
